A wave shivers ripple down my spine as I approach a door. From beneath, this glaring, light beams back at me. Faint whispers flood my ears, echoing off the walls of my mind, but behind me there is nothing but darkness. It has been this way ever since the world vanished into the fog, leaving nothing but scattered memories, and relentless questions. There is no staying here, but to move forward is unfathomable. My quivering hand encloses around the knob, slowly turning it, I swallow my reservations, opening up to the light.
